Changing the owner of a record in Salesforce can be done through the Salesforce interface. Here’s how you can do it if you are only changing one or a few records:
Using the Salesforce Lightning Experience
Go to the record (e.g., a Contact, Account, Opportunity, etc.) whose owner you want to change.
Click the "Change Owner" button:
If you're viewing the record, you may see a "Change Owner" button near the record's details.
If the button is not visible, you may need to find it in the dropdown menu or as an option in the Record page.
Select the new owner:
A pop-up will appear with a list of users you can assign as the new owner. Type the name of the new owner, and select the appropriate user.
Save the changes:
After selecting the new owner, click Save.
Using Salesforce Classic
Go to the record that you want to change the owner for.
Click on "Change Owner" (this will be visible as a button in the record detail page).
Select the new owner from the list.
Click "Save" to confirm the new ownership.
