How to Enable Chatter

Chatter is a collaboration tool similar to Slack that lives within Salesforce, designed to help brokers communicate and share information across an organization. Chatter connects, engages and drives users to work together more efficiently on prospects, deals, properties and more.

In this video tutorial, you’ll learn how to enable Chatter and add a Chatter feed directly to your page layouts in three easy steps:

  1. Enable Chatter globally in Setup > Global Actions > Publisher Layouts > Global Layout

  2. Enable Chatter on selected objects in Setup > Object Manager > choose object > Page Layouts

  3. Add Chatter component to your page layouts in Setup > Edit Page
