List View Formats
Updated over 2 months ago

In Salesforce, a List View is a way of organizing and displaying records that match a specific set of criteria. It provides a customizable, filtered view of a specific object (like Companies, Contacts, Deals, or any other custom object) to help users efficiently access and manage data. List views are commonly used in Salesforce for quickly navigating and working with subsets of records.

There are 3 different formats for List views:

  • Table View

  • Kanban View

  • Split View

Table View

This is the standard view that displays data in a report like format. This is the only view that will allow you to inline edit and is the most organized way to view data.

Kanban View

To view records by stage or another categorical field, use the Kanban View. This list view will allow you to quickly identify where you are at with your records and progress them through the stages simply by dragging and dropping them into the different columns.

Split View

With Split View, you have the ability to search while working on individual records. This view is ideal for prospecting because you can stay in your list while also navigating through record data from the right hand side.
