In this article, you will learn how to deactivate a user in Apto. While it's not possible to delete a user (Salesforce does not allow this), you can deactivate their account and free up any licenses they are using. After deactivation, record of that user and their actions will remain in your system, but they will no longer be able to access the system (log in).
Click on the gear icon located in the top right corner and click on Setup.
In the Quick Find search (upper left corner of the Apto window), search for and click on to Installed Packages.
Click on Manage Licenses to the left of “Commercial Real Estate Broker.”
To the left of the user you would like to end access for, click Remove.
Next, in the Quick Find search in the top left corner of your screen, search for and click on Users.
Click Edit to the left of the user you would like to end access for.
In edit mode, deactivate the user by unchecking “Active”.
Click Save.
Note: If you are unable to deactivate a user because they are assigned to customizations or automations, then you may at least Freeze the user, which prevents them from logging in. You may then work on reassigning the customizations to someone else, then proceed with deactivating.
